Need your help: serpico
I saw a 1966 gilt 5513 from Serpico y laino
don't ask me pics, I don't have at this moment, I just want some informations concerning this special serie: - I heard Serpico shop closed in 66, so is it possible that a 5513 could be from 66 with this dial ? - the sign Serpico is upper the 2 lines. is that correct ? - The case is not engraved Serpico, only the dial. Is it suspect for you ? Thanks a lot for your help |

I won't be of much help but S&P still has a shop in Caracas but I believe the last stamped dials made for them were in '67. I do not believe the rolex cases were engraved. I did see a 2526 Patek recently stamped S&P that did have engraving on the caseback however.

Could be possible. With the right ties to Rolex you could ask for the country a specific serial was experted to. That is usually a good start when checking SYL and other South American watches. Many times the watches with fake print origin from other parts of the world.

There is a gilt sub stamped S&P coming up for auction in NY Christies. Let me know if you can't find it in the online catalog and will point you to it.

This S & P doesn't even have the the Serpico text on the dial, seems to be some variations...if this one isn't fake, Robert Marons reputation isn't the best...
