I try not to get too caught up with terms like "unpolished", "unworn", "never touched", etc...

At the end of the day, dull is dull and sharp is sharp. And that watch is SHARP!!

Congrats on that beauty. Refinished or not, the condition is superb. You don't see watches like that every day.

When I got my first one I thought that I surely missed that poorly done detail but after a while of comparing photos came to conclude this was how they were done at that time.

My next one verified this conclusion and a side by side comparison shows them to be so close in profile and finish that they can be called identical.

Did this change towards the end of the 1675 run?

Mine hail from the 191xxx and 193xxx serial range, don't have the case back dates on either.
Your lugs appear correct for the GMT era from the late 1960s to early 1970s. There was a change sometime during the mid to past-mid 1970s where the top area is about half as flat as the early 1675s before the curvature begins - more in the middle when viewed from the top of the lugs. The top of the lugs also seem to change with the sapphire GMT models where they are almost completely polished with much more curvature showing than the flat, brushed area.

Enjoy your 1675s !!!

Great to read all your feedback, very nice

Concerning the top of the crown guards: In my experience the top of the crowngards was flat at the beginning of the 1675 with matte dials (ca 1968).
In the mid 70´ there was change and the the top of the crown guards was maybe half as flat as before. John already described it.

But there was another small change in about 1972/73 concerning the crownguards. I am not able to explain in English, so I will try to find and show some photos for explanation.....

it's a fantastic watch, who cares if it would have seen a polishing wheel... ?
you can only know for sure if you are the original owner right

Enjoy this beauty ! (problem is wear it or not... ) ?

Wow. No words. I'm getting a 16710 on Wednesday and couldn't be happier - unless I picked up the 1675! Great find. Congrats.
