Feasibility study 1968 rolex Dial
Feasibility study
Im currently doing a feasibility study in regards to the 1970’s service dial on my 1968 5513 Rolex Submariner, Photo attached. 1. How feasible would it be to obtain an original 1968 dial and matching hands (not e-bay) 2. Have the 1970’s service dial relumed (concerned that this will not look authentic) 3. Leave well alone as the dial is 47 odd years old. Id appreciate any comments or guidance in regards to this matter, Rgds “H” |

I'd leave alone. Fine looking diver already!

Because you are across the pond it may be difficult. Here in the USA I would recommend these guys... http://www.everestwatchworks.com . I had them redo and relume the dials on my 1965 GMT Master that my brother had bought in Vietnam and also on a more recent Chronosport UDT timer. The work was impeccable and looks original. First class all the way.
