Sourcing a period and fit correct bracelet for a Tudor Sub

Hi all,

Recently purchased a 7928 and it came on a leather strap.

Looking to get an appropriate bracelet but incredibly confused on how to search for the correct one.

I bought an aftermarket one to test the fit and haven’t been thrilled about how it sat against the case.

I have been trying to eye the end link numbers on other 7928’s I have seen listed but that is about it.

Where do I start?

380 or 580 ends I think. And then 9315 or 7836 folded bracelet?

Not period correct but much easier to size will be the 93150 with 580 end links. The 93150 has solid links with screws.

Agreed - I have a 79090 Tudor sub and the 93150 is a great upgrade that looks correct...all without the folded links and rattle associated with the 9315. :)

That is a very nice tudor. I like that damage at 11 on the bezel edge, makes you wonder where it’s been, what it’s seen.
You could bring her to a Rolex dealer and ask to just buy a 20mm band. It’s the most secure idea and may be reasonable. The orig bands like 7206 or c&i are quite delicate. I really like the Tudor 9315 but are pricey and likely the same cost as a new band at Rolex.

Hi the most correct one should be 7836 with end link 380 (if I recall correctly) and clasp must be Rolex logo .

And I believe the 7206 also correct for 7928 but seldom see them come with this bracelet.

Guys if the OP took it in to a dealer what would they be likely to fit to it if He showed no preference and just said I need a bracelet ?

The AD would provide the most up-to-date bracelet. They don't do vintage stuff.

Fitting depends how closely the AD adheres to Rolex rules. In theory the buyer needs to produce the watch head, and the AD's tech fits the bracelet.

But if you know your AD, they might be a bit more relaxed. One AD sold me a Jubilee bracelet loose without even asking me to produce the watch. Another wouldn't even sell me a pair of spring bars without fitting them to the watch themselves.

Their aim is to avoid their unopened stuff ending up on eBay, I guess.
