Is it normal???

That the date wheel doesn’t click over at straight up midnight? It does it like 3 minutes after?? I know it doesn’t really matter I’m mostly just curious

Digital clocks and watches change over at exact times, mechanical watches, almost never.

3 minutes is pretty good to be honest. I have two watches with the date function and they both change date at 7-8 minutes past midnight and I don't sweat it whatsoever. Enjoy your watch in good health!

Mine changes 2 minutes after noon, IMHO that is a little too early.

If it doesn’t matter then why are you asking?

What movement are we talking about? For example, the official date change tolerance on the 3235 and 9001 is -1/+2 min.

That doesn’t mean to send in your watch if it doesn’t fall within this threshold though because you’ll be asking for a lot of trouble (dust, dings, etc). I’d only ever open a watch if the problem warranted such.

Every watch will be different as it is dependent on how the hands were initially set at factory assembly.

Easy enough for a watchmaker to fix. Move hands to midnight, pop off hands, reset hands.

My DJ41 changes at 12:08 and my Omega AT 11:52. No biggie. As long as the date is correct the next day it's all good.

My new to me 116613 has been changing over at 1238 hours
I’m thinking that’s quite a bit off but may not be worth addressing just yet.
This is my only Rolex that has ever done that( out of 4)

I've never owned a single Rolex that clicked over exactly at midnight. Never.

Hi, both my (latest models) JC Deepsea and Pepsi GMT both switch dates around 12:08. I’m happy with that but probably should be sooner.

Depends, but mechanical take it slow. Don’t worry. I have that swap at 4, and some even 10.

I'd say it's garbage; I'll take it off your hand for $.10 on the dollar. I'm never awake when it happens so it doesn't matter to me.

Oh you are still so lucky.

On certain months, my date changes a full day later.. and always a few minutes after midnight.
