No, he can't with double doors with a time delay and you can also check the authenticity of the money in the teller.
I have made all my private watch transactions at the same bank.

This is easy. Shop them to trusted buyers here. Forget meeting in the banks, Back alleys, Starbucks, chasing guys, a knife, getting slugged, and just be willing to give up a smudge of your value for safety. You really need the xtra 6% or whatever?

At that price a grey would sell if for you for 10% or maybe less. Go down that route, you sound like you don’t need the hassle more than you need the $10k.
Good luck.

This. +1. I’m thinking OP, who has “several dozens” watches (so 40-80), some in “PM” and the one he’s talking about is $100,000, is a guy who can afford to avoid the hassle

Mr seller. Hire a body guard. Very simple. No drama, fast, safe.

LOL.. Bodyguards R Us?
Hiring private security isn't hard, but one who's willing to get stabbed or proficient enough avoid getting stabbed or shot is somewhat harder.
With sums like $100K, there's no shortage of criminals who'll just shoot you both in the face from the outset, then stroll off with the proceeds.

You can take 3 friends- he may have 4, who are all there, prepared and probably meaner than your friends, for the purpose of taking away your watch.

If you're absolutely determined to sell it yourself, then the buyer wires you the money, when it's confirmed cleared to your account by your bank, not the Platinum Trust Bank, then you courier the watch to his lawyers office where the unpacking can be witnessed, so he can't claim he received something other than what you sent.
You shouldn't be meeting him face to face with a $100k watch and $100k at play, unless it's on your yacht or you work on the top floor of a bank with a ton of security and a desk of money check machine check machines.

Someone buying pre owned watches for $100k should be comfortable with excessive caution on both sides and have no problem with your requests.

You do not know to much about private, for hire, security gaurds.

Your scenarios are EXACTLY what they perform.

Me personally, BTDT 50 or more times.

But, first thing in the morning, I will let Mr Brinks know his services do not work.

All private security is not the same.
But thank you for relating your experience.
You've been shot many times then ?

You are a show of force , a visible deterrent, or in the event of a robbery, a way of slowing down the process so that the police might arrive before the perpetrators can make a get away.
What are your instructions when someone points a gun at you ?

Naw , Just call a local ad and offer them 3% . If they say no , call another . There are plenty of dealers who will handle the sale for 3 grand for 30 minutes of their time. Don’t complicate it with attorneys etc . humble michael in San Antonio Tx
