Where to buy straps/bands?

Obviously we have our list of trusted vendors for the watches themselves, but where do you usually go when you want to get new straps for your watches? I mean, of course you could always go on Amazon but I don't know if I trust some random on Amazon to produce good quality watch straps. Are there any specific brands that have a good reputation for producing Rolex-worthy straps?

Specifically, I'm in the market for a rubber strap for my Submariner - but I don't want some $10 cheapo rubber strap off Amazon/eBay either. Preferably I would like something at least approaching the quality of the watch itself. I tried to see if Rolex themselves made a rubber strap but they don't seem to, at least not for the sub. NATO straps are also considered.

I'm not dogging on the oysterflex bracelet - I do like it. But sometimes you just wanna give your watch a new look. Obviously, I did google this but every company is going to CLAIM their straps are the best. I'd like to hear from people who've actually used them.

I use rubberb. If you have a 6 digit sub you can keep the glidelock and its really great

jack-foster.com if you are in the states, they have some nice custom made leather straps. They have other decent bags, totes, belts, etc.

For leather, nylon or synthetic I use any of these. Have bought from all three sites in the past and all the straps and have been good quality. Barton is probably my favorite.

B&R

Watch Gecko

For rubber I've always used Everest, but I've heard Rubber B is equal if not better. I also bought a Vanguard for my BB58 and it's just as good as any Everest at about 50% of the cost.

B&R has a rubber strap that I really, really like. Just yank out the QR spring bar and you're golden. Pair it up with some Smarty Endlinks, and it's even better.

I put a Vanguard rubber strap on my watch yesterday and was really impressed. It wore well right out of the box. My wife likes the look, feel, and comfort of her Vanguard strap. More than on bracelet or NATO.

This is a solid list. I usually only need Watch Gecko and Barton. I'll add David Lane to the mix (especially for custom straps...)

Combat Straps has got to be the best strap maker out there. You’ll pay for it, but man—it’s worth having at least one of those in the watch box. I’ve got five (two alligator, two ostrich, one calfskin), and they’re definitely the nicest straps I’ve handled. At least as nice if not nicer than OEM Patek straps from the ones I’ve handled.

For a more budget friendly but high quality leather option, I highly recommend Atelier del Sur. They’ve got very well made and fair prices straps in my opinion. I’ve got at least 8 straps from them. Great service, too.

For Rubber, I say Rubber B! Something about the Everest looks weird to me; I think it’s their “T” shape isn’t as pronounced on the way down? Not a fan, particularly compared to the OG, Rubber B! Only have one right now, but I would add more. I got a discount on mine, but I think it was worth full price.

I second Combat Straps for full custom, they can make one out of almost any material imaginable and it will be made to the exact size and spec that you ask for. For rubber, I have OEM Oysterflex halves for my 116500. They are hard to source and spendy, but look just right with Smarty endlinks.
I have also used Barton for rubber straps for my Seikos, and Panatime.com is another reliable source for off the shelf straps.

I got a strap from Jack foster. The leather was too thick and the strap couldn't move freely on the watch. I could barely even get it on there. I was putting it on a 16570 and should have fit fine. I think the quality of their straps are good, but doesn't fit properly on a rolex sports model in my experience.

Don't wanna seem like I work for them, because I certainly don't, but I've owned Everest and RubberB - and prefer Zealande.

I got a couple straps from Holben's fine watch bands. They have an ebay store or you could go directly to their website.

If you want a leather or cordovan watch strap in the $60 to $80 dollar range, this is a place I would recommend. I like they offer "short" length bands since I have a smaller wrist.

Not the absolute best quality, but for that price point it's good.

I recommend custom straps to fit a deployant since I’m not a fan of tang buckles.

922 Leather is really good.

Horus for rubber strap? They have a polymer insert at the Springbars. Might be good to have additional support.

For NATO Bands, I would recommend the above. I've used this for my Sub and tried it on my GMT.
