A black dial is more quickly readable!

Black dial for me now that Rolex have got rid of the "phantom hands". I could never deal with the fact the black part wasn't the same length on all the hands.

The hands are the only issue I have with the white dial version - I just find them too chunky and it bothers me aesthetically how much wider the black of the hands is compared to the black of the marker surrounds.

So it's the black dial for me.

After the refresh las year it has become harder than ever to choose.

I bought a Polar 226 myself. Very unique. Strong sport / tool vibe. So voted for that.

But the new black dial really pops with the AR and gold hands. Perhaps a more "dressy" look?

Difficult! Either one, a great choice indeed!

The 216570: White in wristies, but when it came to trying on and buying in real life, I preferred the black- I’d go the same way with the newer one

It’s true! The AD had the white version on display so I was able to compare both side-by-side, even if I had the chance to buy the white one I would’ve still got the black one.

Has anyone had both watches in hand, and available to buy, and still gone for the black?

In complete isolation - White. It looks amazing!

On me - Black. I could never wear a white watch for some reason.

The white dial is nice but I prefer the black dial as the orange GMT hand pops on the the back ground.

I own the polar 216570 and went for the black 226570.

I prefer the glossy dial of the 226570 and the fact that now hands are not painted with a different finish than the dial (glossy vs. matte dial in the previous ref.).

That being said...both are beautiful imho :)

The white dial is special.

The black exp. II looks like any other black-dialed SS sport piece. Yawn.
