New Strap & Overall Update on 560
Hello All,
The strap game begins! Shortly after acquiring the 560 I started the hunt for the first new strap. It was an image posted by Mikkoi in the 'Which Panerai are you wearing today' that helped me find this strap, by DC straps, so thanks Mikkoi! The strap arrived yesterday and absolutely love it. The leather is supple, the colour is great, the fit is a bit in-between but got to start somewhere, so hopefully the next one I order will be adjusted for a perfect fit. Also checked the accuracy of the P5000, and over the week it has only lost 12 secs, which I think is pretty good. I'm still amazed that I ended up with a 560, as I never thought I'd like a dial with no running seconds, but the 560 has really surprised me. Anyway, here are some pics, enjoy. Regards, M. |

Looks great. Is it a standard size you chose?

nice strap!
just out of curiosity, how do you check that it has lost 12secs when the 560 does not have a second hand? maybe a noob question but I always wonder how to check the time on the base dial. |

I checked very closely against the hour hand once it centred on a 5 minute marker and then saw how many seconds after time.is website. Like I said not accurate at all, but I could clearly tell it wasn't minutes ahead or behind, it was only seconds, even with no second hand. I don't have a timegrapher and maybe someone else can chime in on suggesting a more accurate way of checking. I've always wondered myself how others checked the accuracy of the base Pams and well this was my way |
