Would You Do This Trade [Submariner Date Content]?
I have a complete set 16610 (SEL - D Serial, unpolished) and a 2005 Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch on NATO (watch only). I’ve always been a 5-digit reference fan, but the 116610LN has put a spell on me.
Question 1: Would you trade the 16610 + Speedy Pro for a 116610LN (very good to excellent condition) complete set? Question 2: Would I be needing to put up cash or is it a fair trade? Note: The 16610 is in good/very good condition, but is worn and has scratches. Thanks in advance, TRF. |

I would do that trade since the Speedmaster isn't a full set. The 116610LN is awesome.
You can always get another Speedmaster if you miss it. |

I’ve worn my 116610 LN most days for about five and a half years. I still love putting it on every day and I think it’s just about a perfect all around watch. I’d do whatever it takes to get one if I were you.

Do the trade. If you need the Speedmaster back in your life, they're *always* available second-hand in the $2k ballpark.

Id do the trade. Love the modern Rolex bracelet vs the vintage/5 digit models.

I would not do it. Why let go 2 very different watches including a 5 digits for a newer sub?

No way I would do that trade. You’ve got the perfect pair of classics right now, and you’re going to trade them for the modern interpretation of one of those classics. No thanks.

Having all you mentioned: 5-series, Speedmaster, LN. I wouldn't trade. The LN is nicer to wear but the other two are classic.

In my opinión it depends on the size of your wrist....
If you have a small wrist Id say dont do it.... |

I literally did this except I didnt have a speedmaster. End of 2017 I sold my 16610 and added the difference to get the 116610ln. Def worth it

I wouldn't. You have the 2 most iconic watches, 5 digits + Speedy.

Have you worn the 116610 before? I was not a fan of it on the wrist, so for me the 16610 stays. But, if you like it go for it

That’s a hard no. Giant lugs, out of proportion watch, excessive shine/bling. No thanks. Sorry, that was not an improvement. The 6 digit has ceramic, and in my opinion no place on tool watches and the older bracelet has 4 mini adjustments made with the ease of a paper clip. Also giving up perhaps the most important watch in history. You better check yourself before you wreck yourself. |

No! Your 5-digits sub the perfect watch! 116610LN is not:( I’ve got 116610 as well, looks square, strange and ugly. And Speedy is a classic, even without b/p. Mine 168000 (not 5-digits, but still...): Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I wouldn't. I look at the big cases, and I can't stand how they look; great bracelet notwithstanding.
You've two classics. Keep them.

I wouldn't... But then again, I much prefer 5 digits.

I would not trade, the 16610 is more usable, the weight is better, and the maxi case on the 6 digit is huge! 2 watches are better than one! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Really torn. For those pro making the trade, would I need to bring cash on top?

I would say your combo of watches is about $7500.00 to $7800.00 in trade. Sub Date $5800 / Speedy (Naked no bracelet $2000) Speedy might garner less as it's head only which is a bit soft in terms of market demand. It's not unsaleable, just wiil be vulnerable to lowballing... a Crisp and full set 116610 SubC Date sells for $8700 -$9100 depending on age and who you are buying it from. A cash top off of at least $900 or more will be expected to complete the deal. |
