Last year I had my Sub's CB engraved with name and service dates. A few years back I retired after 26 years with the USN. I wanted the inscription to read correctly if the watch was crown-up and the engraver got it spot-on.

I would never sell this watch because it has way too much personal value. My dad got it for me when I was accepted into medical school when i was 19. I immediately then got it engraved knowing that its value would drop. I plan on passing it down to my kids someday.
Engraving the caseback actually makes owning the watch so much better because the watch is completely unique to you, there will never be another like it. It has that extra touch of sentimentality. I say go for it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

A buddy took inspiration from the Newman Daytona and the Brando GMT Master...

Bump! Since my thread didn’t get any love but people seemed to not mind posting theirs here!
Want to get my 116710 engraved this year and looking for encouragement, ha! |

Here is my unexpected surprise
I bought this GMT 16750 a few weeks ago.
When I took a close look at the watch, I discovered an engraving on the back :-) According to my research, it must be a watch of a former military member :-) The engraving is: CW3 P.T. Myers TX 06013858 CW= ChiefWarrant3 ? I hope you like the watch too ;-) BR Boris |
