Traded in 116500LN for 116519LN

Had to think about it for a while but did the trade, of course I had to pay some cash since 519 is selling over 500

I received mine just recently. I have both and enjoy the WG on oysterflex tremendously it’s so easy to dress up or dress down. And, there is something about the contrast of steel and black…

I own both too and the 519 definitely feels more substantial on the wrist.

However, I’ll take the 500 bracelet over the 519 OF every time.

Tough to choose.

Good choice especially if you got the 116500 at msrp

You did the right move here. Once 500 prices come down to earth, people will realize it is just a stainless watch.

The 519 is a special piece, and I had the pleasure of having both and can say the 519 was an absolute beauty and a near perfect watch as I have a thing for chronos on straps.

OP

I’ve been rolling around this idea as well.

My current 116500ln was my 1st Rolex and I recently got married in it as well. (1st wife too)

However, 116519ln just looks like another level...

What was your thought process in the trade up?

(Ex: logical to just move up given the crazy 116500ln value, you liked the 116519ln better, the trade for the steel bracelet to WG was worth it, the 116519ln trumped any sentimental value, etc.)

Thanks

Sometime I wondered how long the Oysterflex styling will last?
I am sure stainless steel bracelet styling will last forever.
Also, how durable is the Oysterflex? will it last 10 years before they start cracking? At the end, they are rubber.

Hardly a gold watch - it’s rubber with a little bit of gold

Beautiful watch. I hope to acquire that same piece. Would also look great on black leather strap.

Ten years would be good and it would only cost a few 100 to replace , try replacing a bracelet steel or gold and you're talking a lot more money

Congrats and well done on the trade! The Daytona in this exact configuration is one of the most beautiful Daytona ever made!

That's a great move, wish the Panda had true panda subdials, like the WG, rather than owl dials.
