For some reason while I was creating a GMT watch the black dial showed as an option. Have not been able to replicate. Did not take a screenshot. Maybe someone else can replicate or it is a glitch. It has with the jubilee bracelet.

I don't have this dial in the DJ41 on the Spanish website. Odd.

I don't have this, my browser shows a regular black dial. What's going on?

The only thing interesting to me is the platinum day date.

I kind of agree, but need better pictures.

I was expecting something closer to the dial from Chopard's Alpine Eagle, mimicking the iris of an eagle.

True, but the glacier blue dial remains exclusive to platinum.

Why does the Falcon's eye dial remind me of a damaged dial for sale on ebay.....?

Wow. The updated AK is my favorite release by far. A perfect watch for the common man.

anyone else think the plat day dates with a fluted bezel look...wrong...? i'm surprised they even introduced that after it's been such a tradition to have it come with a smooth bezel

Maybe. It was not tradition; they just couldn't do it otherwise it would have happened ages ago. Like the SD cyclops.

Yeap, new technologies are being invented allowing for what wasn’t possible previously, like Omegas new super diver that doesn’t need a helium escape valve because the now have a way to keep the watch’s seal even stronger.

Hell compared to five digit models, the bezel was held in place by a metal spring now the bezel is being held in place by a plastic gasket. With time comes new innovative manufacturing process.

Regardless of metal I prefer fluted over smooth so this change is personally welcome by me

yeah true but it's hard to believe they just now figured out how to do it. im sure they knew for a bit but were holding off because (i want to believe) it's iconic without one

That yacht master looks like distressed denim jeans.

This all seems like the end of an era (for Tudor as well btw).

To my eyes, getting rid of the solid white gold 3 / 6 / 9 is a huge step in the right direction. So they did reduce the number of different colors and fonts from 13 down to 12...it is marginally better.

I only buy no date watches which means Rolex has very little that interests me, so I was hoping for a complete redesign of the dial (I had a Milgauss and liked the case as is).

I went through all 9 pages of new models and after page 2 thought it was just going back to the beginning of 2 pages total. It's like they are becoming Omega.

Thank God for the $15 minimum wage so Rolex can sell Air Kings and BMW move those 3 series' off the lot.

I don’t know. I see both models now - the original black dial as well as the new Falcon’s eye dial.
