SBGW289 - New Model

Just released, but it's a 44GS case measuring 36.5 mm in diameter and 11.6 mm thick (42.7 mm lug to lug). I've been hoping GS would release a smaller 44GS case so this is really wonderful to see. For a quick summary...

-44 GS case at 36.5 mm in stainless steel (11.6 mm thick)
-9S64 manual wind movement
-72 hour power reserve
-100m WR
-Limited edition of 1,200
-$5,400 USD
-Release of June 2022

I'll definitely be calling my AD about this one.

I put a couple of pictures in here but there are more in the monochrome link below.

It looks pleasing though it may be too feminine for my taste. Hope you will be able to get yours and enjoy it! :)

Now imagine this size with the Spring Drive snow flake. I will be all over it. Can't wait for that day to come.

Stunning! Might be a bit too small for my taste, but everything else about it kills.

I put down a deposit. I really like the size, dial and price point.

Looks great. The more classic hands and plots look really good.

This is really gorgeous, all the proportions are right and the lack of date / manual wind just perfects the character. I run into the local AD rep yesterday and he'd received 4 orders by noon (and expects 3-4 allocation) so be quick if you want one.

The watch is beautiful. I have a large wrist and this watch is too small for me but I do admire it from afar.

Was it an AD in Finalnd? That would be an astonishing interest in this very piece...

This is very nice. Hope they do a standard run with more dial colors.

If this is their direction it’s absolutely brilliant! I can’t wait to see more iterations of this to be released. Give me an ice blue dial and a sapphire caseback and I am down!!

Very classy looking. I like the simplicity of the dateless dial with no PR indicator.

Would I buy one? Not a chance, but I do like it

Do you guys think this will show up in other colours, non limited? Because I really like the size and case.

I would guess almost certainly, at some point. How long that takes is anyone's guess. But this is a new case for GS so they'll want to use it on future watches.

Unlike others, I’m a big fan of LEs. I deeply hope there will not be other releases in this case type (yeah, naive me…).

I think it's almost a certainty they will release more. It has taken time and money to develop this case - I can't see them dropping it after one release.
