Who’s your team? How are they doing? Predictions?

So, my team didn’t make the playoffs and will remain nameless

But IMHO, there is nothing like playoff NHL hockey. Last night, I am randomly watching a game I have no connection to either team and generally don’t even care who wins, but am captivated, watch the whole game and it turns out to be an instant classic!!!!

Pittsburgh Penguins playing the New York Rangers in New York. Pitt loses it’s starting goalie in warmups, so the second string is in. The game goes to THREE Overtimes… In the SECOND over time, the Penguin's SECOND STRING goalie goes down, so… yep, you guess it, they are playing a THIRD STRING goalie who has (something like) two NHL games experience. As a matter of fact, he admitted in between the second and third OT he had a meal from an arena vendor of SPICED PORK and BROCCOLI. He said he wasn’t expecting to play and was hungry. Well, the second string guy goes down, and HELLO! YOU’RE UP!!!!

He admitted his stomach was really upset from the food but…. What are you going to do?

The guy makes 17 saves and saves the game for Pittsburgh. Malkin scores on a re-direct several minutes in to the THIRD OT to win the game. CRAZY!!!

You’re right Paul, the intensity of playoff hockey is quite amazing and ultimately it becomes an endurance test. It’s difficult to compare sports, but it’s often been said the the Stanley Cup is the toughest trophy to win.

The Rangers are my team and always have been. And you’re right Paul there is absolutely nothing like playoff hockey. I think it’s the most exciting post season of the four major sports. End to end action from start to finish.

This year has some amazing first-round matchups....since my home team did not make the playoffs again, I am cheering for every team this year in the playoffs....except for the Leafs. There is some really good hockey this time around

Another one for the Avs!! Went to the first game in the series and pumped that we got it in overtime last night. Playoff hockey is the best hockey

Being a Buffalo Sabres fanatic, I hardly recall what it’s like for my guys to play postseason.

I watched the Flames win in OT yesterday and am looking forward to the battle for Alberta next round. They were gritty and threw a ton of rubber at that kid in goal from Dallas last night - who played a helluva game btw.

I’m pulling for the Flames the rest of the way.

We are Devils fans. Cannot root for the Rangers. Watched the Flames knockout the Stars. The Flames were relentless. Wish they could take the Stars’ goalie with them.

We have a new second home in south Florida, so I think we have to root for the Panthers.

Panthers vs. Flames? I think the favorites are lightning vs. Avs.
