How do you find legitimate sellers

I posted an ad WTB: Sinn EZM1 . I have been contacted by nothing , but scammers.
I am sooo disappointed. A member with tons of post sent me not once, but twice stolen photos from old watch sales. I donated thinking this would be a safe place to buy and sell. I知 just curious if I知 the only one to have this experience.

Don't give up. Might just be that any "legitimate" possibility doesn't have one yet. Sometimes it's just patience. If I had one, I would reach out.
I read the wtb's and even post there too. Once in a while a good guy comes along.

A little common sense and due diligence goes a long way. You’ll hear a saying around here a lot, “buy the seller,” and as cliche as it seems or whatever, that’s exactly what you have to do. If the price seems fair and they have PLENTY of good feedback on the forum, and they can obviously verify they are who they are supposed to be, it’s probably safe.

When I posted a web add. I got numerous bogus "offers".
One just has to be aware how to spot them.

I have found out over the years to require those trying to sell me anything to call and discuss details.
Ask lots of questions. Then determine if you want to follow up.

Trust but VERIFY all. If u feel uncomfortable pass on it.

I am new to the forum and this is what I am scared off. Scammers are everywhere so we have to keep an eye for each other.

Welcome to the forum. This place as you say is a collection of messages on a screen. The forum has nothing to do with interactions between parties. There is a buyers and sellers forum where references can be checked.

As for the want to buy ad, that is a bad idea. Think about it, you are offering to pay for a product you cannot see or verify. You would be far better off searching the internet for what you want to buy and then dealing with a seller after you check up on them.

Good luck.

Welcome. Good caution. Forget the WTB section as it痴 a show. Rather just watch months of postings here and review who痴 who. You値l figure it out like we all have

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than those preying on watch enthusiasts. You must be cautious.
