Royal Oak 50th capsule at Hudson Yards - what is and who is going?

Got an invite to the Royal Oak capsule that will be on display at Hudson Yards in NYC next week.

Curiosity has the better of me - does anyone know what it is and who is also going?

AP house opening is on the 19th I believe

It's a nice opportunity to mingle with fellow collectors.
Spoilers:
The capsule is like a long room with mirrors on each side and a video screen on the top. Video reflects with the mirros and the sounds plays with the water (yes don't fall in the water). Like an indoor light show but AP themed. At the end, there is a 16202 to see.

you will get to see a 5402, 14802, 15202 and 16202. And if you have some sense you will conclude the 5402 is the one to own!

Was pleasantly surprised to get the invitation email. When I try to sign up, however, the event shows as fully booked.

I think a lot of people are invited to the capsule followed by a visit to AP House afterwards

If this is essentially the same capsule concept that was in Harrod's a few weeks ago, it's not at all worth going out of your way to see. The quoted post here sounds like the NYC capsule is just like Harrod's capsule; it's essentially a pop-up style video display and maybe 1 watch in it. AP House, however, will be worth it; there's one on Bond Street but not sure about NYC status.

There’s no mention of AP House in my email/reservation and the time slot is 30 min.

Also curious how selective they were with the invites.

I got a invite via the email to the AP house.

I also happened to have met the whole sales team and boutique manager a couple of weeks ago. I think this will be a fantastic store and the staff will provide a unparalleled experience.

Honestly nothing special, they have a registered line and non-registered so anyone can go. I had an appointment and they still let people on before me who didn't. Still had to wait 10 minutes to go in and the events was 5 minutes. 95 degrees out so it's def hot and not worth it.

Is the NYC AP house open now? I’ve heard May 19th was scheduled to be the grand opening.

FYI they're having technical issues. My reservation was for 2pm and still haven't gone in. Wandering around Hudson Yards killing time. They told me it would be fixed in half an hour... and that was at 2pm. May bail soon.
