It's happening....

Lol. Crown and caliber just slashing prices hard via a "72 hr flash sale" ... 15-30% off, mostly rolexes. Also saw earier WATCHBOX trying to bundle "the impossible rolex collection" which is sold as a set that contains Starbucks, blnr, blro, both steel daytonas, hulk, sky blue and milgauss zblu, sold as a packaged set.

"It's not 3 day old fish, it's a whole new thing! "

Reeks of desperation.

Seen it as well, also cutting prices on Tudor.

C&c got a long way to go to be anywhere near competitive on their pricing. Moda has everything for at least 20% less than c&c “discount pricing”

Impossible because they hoarded them all this time. Disgusting.

I don’t think that watch box collection is a terrible idea. Someone will buy it. It kinda takes the fun out of the process, though. I wouldn’t exactly want all those models, as the overlap is kinda dumb. But it’s a good marketing strategy.

C&C have always had an absurd pricing strategy. I could never figure out if they actually sold at their prices or if the buyers then negotiated?

Ha, killer quote from the Big Short! It definitely feels appropriate.

Lol on the WB box o rollies. Definitely more pain to come. The only way prices will stabilize is if the big greys tried to buy up the supply and hold prices. If the big guys are going to drop prices too the race down is only just starting....

Thank the lord.
I love that c and c sail, one thing though. No pre ceramic date subs. It really is just the hype pieces taking a hit mainly. Lot of Starbucks

The worst part is prices have dropped dramatically and still have a long way to go

Ha.

When I saw the watchbox thing, it's immediately what came to mind.

Down we go! Where will we stop? No one knows! Federico did post a day or two ago saying they typically see dealer to dealer prices that consumers end up being affected by a few days later, he said it’ll be a rough week for Rolex prices

Damn right

Watchbox, the idiots they are, have a 2010 116505 “coming soon” for $84,950. Seriously?

Who’s the idiot running with these strategies with pricing.

Keep in mind guys we still have a loooooooooooong way to go before the A D mentality shifts and changes. Even the least desired diamond encrusted ladies DJ will be hoarded

Watchfinder in the UK had a few steel Daytonas for about £50,000 but today they are no longer listed on their website- not price reduction just gone and I doubt they have all been sold

I just took a spin through the TRF Classifieds history from 2020 or so. Sobering even for those of us who lived through it. AP 15500s around MSRP, DDs at half of what they are today, etc. Amazing how much and how fast prices went up, and here’s to hoping they come back down even faster.

Or even further back when 515’s were in the teens and DD’s in the 20’s

Don’t believe we will ever see those days return but I’d gladly welcome some type of happy medium. Not sure what that looks like but anything is better than the current state of pricing

If it's true those big websites took out debt to buy inventory, this will be brutal.

Going further back is a whole different level of sobering!

Yep, there’s so much stock out there and I doubt Rolex will scale back production, so all the old stuff plus the new 1 million watches every year will add up fast.

If anything, Rolex would probably take a little sadistic joy in pumping out as many watches as possible and hurting those dealers even more

I definitely remember the 15500st at MSRP in 2020, oh how times have changed. Also, the 15500st at around MSRP in 2020, was below the 116500ln white daytona's market price; I distinctively remember that.

Big greys. Small greys. It’s all about their balance sheet. Now is when you find out who is well capitalized and who is just a big House of Cards.

Look at how many FS listings have popped up just today in the classifieds.. seems like a rush for the exit.

Well hopefully Rolex will dump enough inventory that it makes a difference with A D’s. I doubt it but there’s always Greys right
