New green dial 1304

So basically a 4mm smaller version of the limited green dial 1056, with now the downgraded, undecorated, non hacking movement? My goodness.

Glad I got the 1056 when it was available.

I've got a 1055 (42mm) limited edition. Truthfully I'm happy with it, but my sense is it's one of the few ones worth having of late...and a non-hacking movement is totally unacceptable at this price point (or, frankly, at any price above $200).

I like it. Really stunning. I (like everybody else) don't like the downgraded movements, but I could see past that.

It would be a lot better if it had a screwed caseback like the 42,44 and 47mm 1950s. I'm waiting to get confirmation on whether it has a driven caseback (like the 1086) or a just a regular snap-on caseback that you can pop off pretty easily.

I'm not sure why they got rid of the hacking feature but my 111 which I've had for 15 years doesn't hack...and I've never missed that feature. It certainly wouldn't dissuade me from a model I liked.

Just got an email about this watch from panerai. Is it really 500 LE? Don't see anywhere on the product page or email referencing this but some of the published reports on this watch state it.

Released in mid may, if still available must not be very high demand for this one
