SonofAlich - Why was this user banned? Potential Trade

Hey all

I cant post a link due to post count but the username on here is "Sonofalich"

I am from an alternative forum and about to make a purchase. Upon doing my due dilligence it looks like the user in question that I will be dealing with also existed here by the same name.

Why was this user banned?

I am obviously skeptical about trading him if it was anything scam or fraud related. I would also like to inform staff about this and protect the members of the other website if it was indeed fraud related.

His join date on that forum is 2019. His last activity here was 2018.

It depends, IMO. People are also members of those forums to figure out how to tell the real from the fake so they don't get tricked.

Personally, I despise fakes but I do like to be educated so I never have to make a post that I bought a fake.

Oops, I did note that this particular member seems interested in purchasing them. That's a NO in my book.

Pass and find a seller without red flags. If he is a contributor to a fake watch forum, etc, then I would chalk that up as a red flag.

He seems unduly worried about someone who has been banned. Surely the ban is another red flag.

Its not just about protecting myself. Its about protecting others.

Ofcourse I wont be trading the guy now. But if there is proof of fraudulent behaviour I want him removed from the other site to protect others.

Sure does! But there will always – – always – – be another fraudster. Therefore, I find the most likely way to curtail fraud on these forums is to educate potential buyers. As I’ve said before, it takes two for the fraud — the fraudster and an uninformed buyer.
