DayDate Rose Gold with Ruby or Olive Dial?

Hi guys,

I’m between those two dials. So, I just wanted to do a quick poll to see which one most people would choose, and maybe that would help me decide.

I rarely see the one with the ruby markers, and I can support a little bling, but the olive dial is such a classic.

Ruby definitely a statement! The Olive is overhyped IMO…

Both incredible…. I’m a fan of Rubys and diamonds in day dates….
Can’t go wrong, Not sure if it’s all the hype or the inability to get one for retail…I’d go with the olive.

Somehow the ruby at 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock reminds me of the new lefty GMT... But it looks unbalanced to me, so I'd go olive.

Both great, but I’d go with ruby. It makes me think of Olivia Newton John in Xanadu.

Olive, I find the DD40 has better proportions than the DD2.

Black Ruby Baguette; extravagant, regal, and menacing all in one timepiece…
Good luck finding one…

Thank you everyone for your opinions! From your comments, I think the deciding factor will be if I want to make a statement with the ruby one or have something more toned down with the beautiful olive dial.

Oh I am definitely going to the grey market for either option. If I am not mistaken, the ruby one stopped being produced in 2015.

To be honest the dial on the ruby is not loud at all. And with the new 40mm case came a new fluted bezel cutout that i would argue is more loud then the ruby. So dont think the olive is towned down at all.

I have the olive dial Rolex, and am considering purchasing the ruby as well.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, both lovely.
