So I guess my story is not unlike a bunch of others, but figured I’d share anyway!

I posted here about a month ago about establishing a relationship with a new AD and got a bunch of awesome tips from the community, which in a nutshell, advised to spend some $$ if attempting to get some serious consideration. I had some non-Rolex purchases in mind (Cartier for wife, new wedding band for self) that I figured I’d make there weeks apart, with the primary purposes of getting things I’ve been wanting to get for a while, but with an ulterior, perhaps, of quickly building the relationship.

Linked up with a super awesome SA who put me on “the list” for a couple of pieces I wanted (Sky blue, Sub Date, OP green) after the Cartier purchase. But I figured it would be a long while before I got called on anything. Went in yesterday, essentially three weeks after being put on the list, to get sized for my band, and the super awesome SA surprised me with a 126610LV! From what I read, those are pretty difficult to come by at retail so I was a little shocked. I’m picking it up early next week and will post some pics!

But I guess the moral of my story for those on a list is that YMMV; buying stuff definitely helps, as we all know, but of course only buys things you really want!
