Should get a second hand hulk or new 116610LN

In a dilemma, should I get a second hand 2018 hulk 116610LV ($71k) or new 2020 116610LN ($55k)?

Which one will have higher room for value appreciation?
Your thoughts?

Thanks

For Rolex as a hobby, wearing and enjoyment I would pick the BNIB LN. (To speculate on profit, is not my cup of tea)

I'd personally go with the 5th anonymous posters opinion myself. It's coming up soon !!!

I may know someone who can sell you a hulk for 70k tho. A bargain for the less value inclined.

Get what you like of course. The money is relevant to the model, all Rolex hold good value. I'm more of a fan for black divers so I'd go for the new 16610LN. Happy Choosing!!...

Quite simply, This. Don’t purchase a Rolex because it’s a hot model, or people SAY it’s better, purchase the Rolex you will enjoy the most. Simple.

Your price currency is not US$ but... could it be my currency MYR Malaysia Ringgit?

Anyways, like others say, buy what you like first and foremost. I have the 116610LN and the hulk is just too green for me so I pass.

But value appreciation speaking, the Hulk is definitely a collectable item to many Rolex enthusiasts, so it will appreciate much better than 116610LN. The 1266610LN is basically an all around new & improved version of the 116 so I believe the 116610LN will still retain its value, but won't increase much in price in the future. People will desire the newer model IMO.

I’d go for HULK, but just got you education, the new 2020 41mm black sub is the 126610LN (not 116610LN).

Frankly more interest in Dives than GMTs. Easy choice for me.

If there is any other black dial black bezel watch you like (116710 or SD43) then I'd get the Hulk for the radiant green dial. If you want something that is handsome with some glossy accents and goes well with anything then get the black sub.

Hulk. Seriously. Best green watch ever made, and there isn't another brand, model, or manufacture which comes close to the green sunburst dial on the hulk.

1. Buy the one you want the most

2. Buy both

3. All of the above

There are 8 gazillion hulks out there. Wait until insta models see something else shiny and the prices on hulks will level out. To speculate about appreciation on the absolute pinnacle of a market is just stupid.

And I’ve absolutely got a hulk for you at a huge discount of $65k
