It is a pity that they have to open and handle it without having used it for the first time.
I am very sorry. Good luck.

Does this movement have reliability issues outside of keeping time within factory specs?

I’d ask if the “Local Rolex Watchmaker” has the equipment to pressure test a watch to 4,000 ft. I believe I’d read awhile back that Rolex had to work with Comex to develop a pressure testing machine that would go that deep. Yes I know one one is taking the watch to that depth but for that kind of money I’d want to know that the original specs of the watch are intact. My other question would be if the watch needed warranty work in the future would Rolex honor the warranty after the watch had been opened by the “Local Rolex Watchmaker”.

I had the same experience, but that was a Hamilton khaki. They had to sent it back and waited for like 5 months

Update---Watch is back and running just fine. The issue was with the stem and not with the movement so it was a quick fix. They kept it for 4 days after fixing it to run various tests and diagnostics and it passed them all! Happy to have it back and on my wrist!

Not so much, 4000 ft is only 4.00 bar?

Who repaired it?

Enjoy your Sea-Dweller, it is a stunning dive watch.

My 126600 dial had lost its red text "SEA-DWELLER"!

Bezel insert positioned for genuine use.
