Totally missed this one; that's a beautiful pick up as I always remembered how the blue bezel pops against the black dial!

Curious, was it specifically the blue/black combo that made you go after this, or you primarily wanted a sub in WG?

Blue is my colour and I love Subs.

I own a 124060 (Gave it to my son) 116610LN,126610LN,126610LV

Saw it twice in the metal .Both sold ,waiting collection.
After seeing it I knew this is an addition .Fits into my collection .
I love the contrast between the Back dial and blue bezel insert.I didn't like the all flat blue previous generation WG Sub that much.

It was a long shot at the AD,they are pretty scarce ,but lady luck smiled .

I have two PMs : GMT Meteorite and the WG blue Sub .
WG DD 40 Olive (Scarce !) or WG Daytona Blue dial (Scarce !) would also have been welcomed.I also think the new YG DD40 green dial will be brilliant.

Oh right on, I was actually thinking it'd be sweet if you also have the LV and get to rotate the blue and green! What did you son think of it, is he also secretly thinking "one day the LB will be mine"?

Looks like your AD likes you and will do what they can to take care of you Looking forward to the next PM incoming post!

I was at one of my ADs in September picking up small things for my wife and I told them that I would want to add 116519LN with silver dial.
My SA came out with 42M YM OF and WG Sub.

I had just bought RG DD40 the previous month so I was not looking for another gold piece, except the Daytona.
The Sub was indeed nice, the blue bezel with the PCL popped up.

For time being in my collection journey, I made a choice to have one of the iconic Rolex models and for the Sub it is the 116610LV. But sometimes I do wonder, mostly because of such incoming threads, what if I replace the LV with WG Sub.

Congrats once again OP!

How hard is this model to get nowadays? I’ve been obsessing over it for a while now and seriously considering asking my AD for one. I’m assuming since it’s full WG it’s not as hard to get as the popular SS models?

It's scarce.
I consider myself very fortunate .
Got the third one this AD has received since launch.

Have done the test before ,where I had a chance to compare :

WG GMT vs Pepsi
WG Sub vs Sub/Date
Platona vs white Daytona .(Platona is just something else ,go eat bamboo ,little panda ,shoo...shoo !! )(Disclaimer : I do own the white Daytona)
WG Sub vs Sub LV

It's not a fair test .
The pricing is very different ,BUT the problem is that once you place the PM next to the ss ,you handle it ,feel the weight difference ,see the different lustre ,place it on the wrist ,its game over ..ss cant compare to PM .

PM is a dangerous and expensive direction to venture into .....
