Wow, that's a very lazy, inappropriate response. So, in your view since the thread was long members can be lazy and provide bad advice? Really? There is absolutely no logical defense for your argument, so I strongly suggest you rethink it if you want to be taken seriously here.

So, the days on the forum is the only criteria that confers whether one is right or wrong? How so? Please explain logically.

I received the repair estimate and I'm posting because it may be of value to some here. Given that my watch was manufactured in '83, it is considered by Rolex to be a "legacy" watch and therefore more expensive to work on. So, the standard $750 fee for an overhaul is $1000 for my watch and will take 10 weeks, not the standard 6-8, per Rolex.
