I have now waited 1 year 4 months for any variant of the 5270. I always thought non-sport Pateks are easy to get, more so the complicated ones. With the 5811/1G (if it is 5811G i will skip), it's going to take at least 5 years for me by my own reckoning, or 10?

Hi, yes I seem to recall u have 5726 and 5740, i don’t understand how the AD won’t at least have a 5270j for you. Please share.

For me, just to share, I was offered a 5270j before I was offered a humble steel 5712. I turned down the 5270j because yellow gold is not for me.

Someone in sg is selling the black hands 5270g on chrono for 180ish. That’s a very interesting option.

Excited to see what changes they have made. Not excited at all for a G version.

Thank you Kaiser for the heads-up :)

Frankly, I would be a little disappointed to be presented the new 5711 so soon (as there was already a 5800, maybe a 5718? Like the 5167 became 5168?).

T. Stern said back in March (and even before) that Patek is also about the classical models, especially since they don't want the Nautilus to take all the room, etc...

Adding there are still more than 10 Nautilus versions in the catalogue, I would have liked at least 1 year before the new release.

As for the G, I remember we had a discussion here about a new marketing policy that could favour precious metal models and less steel in order to increase prices and make them a little less "affordable". They would then be able to make a first selection on that base instead of refusing clients with a 7+ years waiting list that satisfy nobody and leave less money to flippers and grey dealers.

Maybe then leaving the steel version as an application piece. Then people will have the gold casual Nautilus for elegant lifestyle and steel Aquanaut for sporty activities.

Or maybe it's a... 5228 Calatrava!

I have been asking my AD periodically about the 5270J/P, and their reply is always "we haven't received any 5270 for a long time". I doubt they are lying about this because I have received 2 Journe and a Rolex during the same time. These are in-demand models.

Which AD offered you the 5270J? There was 1 from ION Cortina that went to my friend who has a significantly greater spending. They only received that 1 piece in the same period...

I don't see any 5270G in Carousell? Anyway I have made a decision to go all-in with my AD years ago and I'm sticking to it.

Coming back to topic - I do not think any Nautilus is easy to obtain now at MSRP. The new 5811/1G would be a nightmare.
