5205G availability
So my Patek Dealer lost their patek line. I had interest in a 5205g. Now having to start over a lot a new place, what is the chance of availability on that piece ?
Thanks Jim |

My AD offered me that piece when I first asked for the Aquanaut a couple of months ago. Not the US though. They had it in the safe, not on showcase, but still, it was available on the go.

That reference is one of the references I regularly see displayed in ADs
I don’t imagine the WG version to be very difficult (the green dial RG might be this year). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I asked this before and the AD said the waiting list is closed for this year. Told me to come back again next year.

I was in Patek in St Thomas and that reference (blue dial) was readily available and probably for a discount. About a year ago I think. I tried it on and debated the purchase, but never pulled the trigger. One of the nicest sales people I’ve ever met in any high end store.

Spoke to some ADs in HK and they mentioned they haven't seen the 5205G pass though their doors in the past 2 years.
Wonder why? |

My AD's/"boutique" waiting list if quite deep for the 5205 in general. They've only got one lady's watch available right now.
You might luck out at some places, but I haven't seen the 5205 being readily available for a while. For Patek standard this isn't a "mass-produced" model. In general, I won't imagine any ADs giving out discounts on any models at the moment. |

I actually bought a white gold/blue dial one from an AD in the DC area this May. I was initially waiting for a PP5147G, and I got this instead. Kind of an unexpected, but happy surprise.
As for availability, the sales told me they are not getting a 5205 (regardless of which model) in at least one year. So I can only say that it is not impossible to buy one this year. |

It seems very hard to get any PP from ADs nowadays, but I saw many of 5205G or 5205R brand new are selling at MODA at about the same price of MSRP + Tax.
I don’t understand how those dealers got their timepieces from and be able to sell at the same price with ADs.

People buying what they are offered and pretending they can afford multiple Pateks while chasing a nautilus/aqua. I saw that 5205R green for basically msrp. Sharp watch.
