Unique Piece 26240CE
Not something that I’d ever lust after:

For a charity auction - will be interesting to see what the price is. If it was a regular production model, I'm not sure I'd take it over a 26240CE, but I also wouldn't say no....

Admirable as always when charity auctions are concerned, but to me it's 'just' a blue dial on an existing model, lovely as it is. I'm sure it will fetch a very nice price though.
But... "...combines black ceramic with a bright blue dial...” Really? Bright blue? I bet this really is bright blue and really pops IRL, just not in pictures. I trust their descriptions 100%, but their renders not so much. p.s. I'm a Brit and can't afford anything now :( |

If it mimics the satin dial finish of the Code dials, then it probably reflects blindingly bright as your roll your wrist.

;-)
This new trend of disclosing new models all year long, sometimes without publicity at all, is definitely interesting and keeps you on your toes. But I think I preferred the good old days where all new year's novelties were presented in Feb or March, so you could decide which one(s) you liked best and try to get it. |

Agreed, when did AP started this? Only this year right? So hard to do this when you’re deciding what you want without knowing what’s really coming lol |

Yes. One or two years ago. I think I remember them doing that last year as well, even if a bit less.
Since they left SIHH in 2020 basically. |
