Advice on next piece...

I'd like to add just one more Rolex piece for the foreseeable. Purchase will be after New Year, so plenty of time to think and...overthink, even

With my LN Sub and the Blue DJ41 there's no real *need* for another piece, as dressier / sportier bases (and pretty much anything else in between) are covered.

But there's a spot for that little bit more particular one either by way of material, color, function or all of these combined, that would perfectly round my lineup.
A totally discretionary piece which would still capture the essence of the brand just as much as the Sub and the DJ do.

I have narrowed it down to these three, not necessarily in this particular order:

1- 126710 BLRO on Oyster
2- 126711 CHNR
3- 126331 Chocolate, sticks, on Jubilee

Purchase will be from and AD...

Pleased to have your opinions.

Thanks

I'd go with a BLRO! Preferably with the alternate bracelet to what's on your DJ.

Although the 126331 version you’re considering is one of my favorite combos… you already have a DJ. I think a GMT would fill out the collection really well and since you don’t have a TT.. 126711 gets my vote!! Buuut BLRO on jubilee is a mighty fine piece as well : )

I've really put much thought into the Sky D. Even tried some on but as much as I like the complication and indeed the whole concept, it just doesn't seem to work on my wrist in any combination.

That's why I've narrowed it down to these three options

Either of those GMT Masters would do me in your circumstances. If I had to choose one, I'd go for the BLRO, if it was feasible at MSRP. I wouldn't be at all sad if I ended up with the CHNR.

Hi Basil,

I love the blue DJ that you already have, so I would not choose another DJ:
I think that the most "classy" DJ is the one you already have.

So I would choose one of the two GMT.
Which one... I know it is silly and un-rational,
but I would choose depending on the age.
The CHNR on a "mature" man is extraordinary.
So classy, not shiny or "aggressive" at all.
In spite of the fact that it is TT, it is by far less flashy than BLRO.
I don't know how old are you,
I am close to retirement, and for myself I would choose CHNR.

ciao!

Thanks, g and Harry

I'm turning 44 and definitely not getting any younger. I'm probably more inclined towards a GMT since the DJ was thankfully recovered.
The BLRO on jubilee was a no-go when I saw one in person; just felt a bit busier or should I say "richer" than I would like it to be.
But on the oyster looks so much closer to the image I have of the traditional GMT on my mind and which I'm very fond of.
On the other hand, the CHNR, is that little bit more scarce a colorway in the wild and one that I could definitely match with my lifestyle...

BLRO on Oyster but I am biased.
One of the best modern references in my opinion. Packed with history, tradition, functionality and good looks.

Well, you can't go wrong with option 1 or 2. Both fantastic choices.

I like the EXP2 or OP as alternative choices...YMMV.

CHNR makes the most sense here with the pepsi coming second. i personally would go with the CHNR to add a little color to the collection

Either of the two GMTs would round off a perfect trio. If it was up to me it would be the BLRO.
