Thanks for all the messages, yes definitely worth the wait. It's been a long time coming and I am going to give my other pieces a rest and wear the hell out of this thing!

Congratulations. Sounds like you've built up one of these "relationship" things that people keep going on about.
Some are comfortable with that approach, but I find it a bit crass. I would simply gush gratefulness. I don't care about schwag as I have plenty of possessions and this stuff just gets in the way. I'd gift the schwag.

But to ask for a discount on a model with years and years of waiting - asking for a discount is likely to annoy the SA. You'll get this deal, but she'll remember how you made her feel. And maybe not get the next special request - "That guy is just so ungrateful to ask for a discount on this particular model." It shows you don't understand the law of supply and demand, don't empathize with her job - which is probably frustrating to her to have to turn people down on the daily. She loves making the calls "Your watch is here," but to hear "Can I have a discount" would be so deflating. If I was and SA and tried my best to deliver a watch and was faced with that stupid question, I'd probably never sell another "in demand" watch to that ingrate.

To ask for a discount on a Daytona is a bit tone-deaf and (IMO) an insult to the dealer.

Again, these are just my opinions. I'm not asking anyone to agree. And I realize I may get flamed for this comment. Fire away.

I have to say I totally agree, I was so made up and totally stoked that I didn't even bother with asking for any discount etc. The SA had delivered my perfect watch. So happy that I have arranged a nice gift for her and the team to be delivered tomorrow.

I can't thank them enough, it's also nice to be nice. thats my way of treating people and generally it's reciprocated.

My collection has only grown by being genuine and the only reason I have the allocation is due to the SA who fought my corner.

So thrilled for you. The moment one gets a 500 becomes a dividing line in collecting. At least that’s what’s happened to me!

May you have many years of happiness with that beautiful watch my friend!

So jealous. Truly believe this is the best looking Rolex and probably any brand watch out there. Wear it in great health, unless you want to give it to me lol!
