Hello fellow Kentuckian,

This is a build from the ground up. The sandblasted no guard case, lumed chapter ring, handset, crown/ stem, and dome sapphire crystal came from Namoki, the lumed sapphire bezel insert from Watch Modz, the bezel from eBay, and already had the dial from a previous Turtle mod. I recently sandblasted a bracelet for it as well. Very happy how this turned out.

I am relatively naive when it comes to building/modding a watch. Is this difficult to do on your own? As you know, we don’t have a lot of places around us that would undertake this, at least not to my knowledge.

I love the look of this, and am gonna try to do one myself. Which mesh are you using in your pics?

The level of difficulty depends on how handy you are with small tools & parts. Mine is more of a McGuyver approach, with some dedicated watch tools, repurposed tools, and jump in and do it technique. Most times it comes out great, but a couple times it can be a struggle [thinking of you second hand!], a blast to experiment regardless. My advice would be to scour youtube vids and then purchase some tools that will get you where you want to be.

The all brushed flattened shark mesh came from Strapcode.
