I was at a Toronto AD today and they said a deposit now may mean you get your watch in a year or two. Demand seems to exceed supply by a healthy margin.

The word "blower" refers to the mouth, as in blowing up a balloon.

"Blowing a raspberry, strawberry or making a Bronx cheer, is to make a noise that may signify derision, real or feigned. It may also be used in childhood phonemic play either solely by the child or by adults towards a child to encourage imitation to the delight of both parties. It is made by placing the tongue between the lips and blowing to produce a sound similar to flatulence."

New Pepsi Really a Raspberry

OP is one less person in line waiting. Better for those who want the SS BLRO. The WG BLRO here was photographed using true daylight bulbs indoors, in studio w DSLR. No photoshop. You will see different colors in different lighting. Yep, a little waxy looking. You have to see it in person. I’m keeping mine. Sold it and regretted it. Got another. Won’t make that mistake again. And I love my 5-digits. They rock. Hard to beat a classic.

Hence, it looks great as a vintage watch.

For the new ceramic age, the current “Pepsi” color is more modern and appropriate, imo.

Wonderful piece!

For the OP, even if it's pink and purple, you have almost no chance of getting one from your AD so no worry. It's a win-win for you and others. LOL

The colors aren't as vibrant as Rolex's website and some of the renders. Still doesn't look 'cheap'

It's mostly used nowadays to describe making the noise with your lips. Whether this came from the Two Ronnies I have no idea...

Could I suggest the nickname "Tart" for the new GMT, before it becomes "Fart"?

It funny, in the vintage 1675 those purple/pink colors are quite desirable by many.

I thought this too. People are all about faded Pepsi dials...unless it's on the ceramics, then it "doesn't match Pepsi colors".
Maybe because it's not vintage. And as we all know, everything vintage is amazing.

Saw this on the hotel sink. Not the perfect red and blue, reminded me of the BLRO ;)

I fell in love with and went to buy a BLRO until I saw it in person. I love the heft, the feel of the gold, etc. but the colors IRL just aren't as they appear in most photos. I assume, because it's what I read everywhere, that the bezel is the same for the Pepsi. So even at half the price, I still don't want it.

16710 will be a $20,000 watch because of this gaffe imo.

And here is the insert in cross section. I suspect in different lightings more of the base red color bleeds through the blue.

On the contrary it's the readers on the TRF who are actualy making repetitive unsubtantiated claims without even examining the watch yet in the flesh in real time. Can any0ne confirm the New Pepsi GMT shown to the public at Baselworld 2018 weren't prototypes of the actual watch?
Can you PM me and show proof of a thread on the Modern Omega Section where the readers were throwing insults on the New Pepsi? I'm curious. As far as I know, my friends over there were asking when the first batches would arrive, they were eager to get their hands on the new Pepsi GMT. Maybe the insults came from another forum but I certainly doubt your allegations about the folks at the Modern Omega section where I once had 5000 posts+
It was a joke and i was joking Omega HQ employees not whomever their non-affiliated forum posters are. I don't spend time reading their forum, so can't comment

My AD's owner goes to Basel every year. He said the bezel is the exact same BLRO as the 116719BLRO. Which, for me is not a bad thing. Rolex examples at Bezel are always the actual watches. Some don't have movements, but are weighted correctly. Bezel looks great in real life. Anything brighter could boarder on obnoxious for a Ceramic bezeled watch. They have more gloss to them than Aluminum of course and the bright colors some lust for aren't ones that would work well on these watches from my perspective.
