Couldn’t care less. Love both for what they are. The colors on the BLRO with that ceramic bezel look classy as hell in person. Can’t wait to see mine.

Fair point, although a lot of people comment that the digital renderings look good, but different from the actual colors. The renderings aren't bright - they're just a truer red and blue. So perhaps people don't necessarily want brighter colors...just different ones?

In person the BLRO bezel presents as "pastel Pepsi"...more ladylike colours.

I know. I've seen it in person. I was just drawing the distinction between "bright" and "true" colors. Just because people want true red and blue doesn't necessarily mean they want them bright - although to the extent people keep using the 16710 as a color reference, one could draw that inference.

I’ve seen the BLRO in a few AD’s and I’m really not a fan of the colours. I find it incredible that Rolex themselves paint a very different picture in their advertising.

Oh, I don’t think there is any hate.

Some see red and blue, some see blurple and pink, that’s all.

Wearing one would be like riding a moped, one would do it as long as your friends didn’t see you do it !

I don´t like the blue which is purplish, nor the red which is pinkish. The bezel looks like a raspberry and does not deserve to be called the Pepsi.

I will not be a taker of this watch until Rolex gets the colors right.
That is providing you can find one in the first place.

Does the white gold version have that variation in colour? I think it is a nice thing to have colour variation. My OP39 Rhodium has colour variation between the rhodium dial and blue squares in different lighting.

I find the colors to be fairly close to the Rolex website with the bezel under natural lighting. Just like the BLNR and LV, the natural UV rays bring out the brighter colors. Artificial lighting, especially CFL tends to allow for the light rays to penetrate the top layer of the blue ceramic. It allows more of the red under the blue, on the blue portion of the bezel to show thru, which is why some think purple (red + blue make purple). But also, why it doesn't look this way in all lighting. If you take a BLRO bezel inlay out of the bezel, you can notice that the blue only makes it halfway thru the bezel depth. Rolex could solve this by adding a black layer between the red and blue on the blue portion of the bezel, making the bezel insert itself thicker, or finding an engineering method to make the ceramic more opaque.

Thank you for ensuring more stock for others since this will be sold out for ages. What are you choosing instead?

Instagram filters aside, the new GMT isn’t quite blue and red - that much is true. Lots of noses out of joint around here, as expected. All defending their beloved preorder. Cheers
