A subdued but beautiful incoming
As I grow older and I find myself in a Rolex AD, I find myself lingering a bit longer in front of the more "dressy" Rolex (granted there aren’t many professional watches in the cases these day). A few months ago, I tried on my first two-toned Datejust 36mm with a champagne dial. I liked it a lot and told myself, "when I get a little older". I couldn't get how much I loved the smaller size out of my head. Until this point I have only owned professionals references 39mm and larger; I would consider most of these too large for my 6.75 in wrist. I visited three different ADs to try on different configurations of the DJ 36mm. I decided that I had to have the blue dial. The exact configuration of the watch was more difficult after that. The fluted bezel is absolutely amazing looking but slightly too dressy for my very casual style; doomed bezel it would be. Next decision was the bracelet. I went back and forth on this for long time. I finally decided on the oyster, again it gives the watch a more casual look. (Although I did take solace in that I could buy an additional jubilee for it from my AD.) Anyways, without further ado, my new 36 Datejust 126200.

Congratulations, a superb choice, although I am a little biased as I’ve literally just bought the same piece - I’m just waiting to arrange collection in these still strange times.

Fantastic. I’m a sports watch guy but I do love the smooth bezel and oyster on those. Very nice!

Youre going to enjoy the 36mm. Perfect size to me. I have the same watch but with black dial and I love it.
Also, Im only 30 so 36mm isnt just for the older crowd. I find younger people who dont care about being flashy actually tend to like smaller watches for the comfort factor |
