Congratulations on buying two watches that you don’t want.

So, you’re thankful and happy that “your” AD who doesn’t know you at all tricked you into believing you were lucky to spend your money on two easy to come by pieces? You’ve been had Sir…
Those guys at the AD are still laughing till this day.

Worse, you need professional help if you think its a good deal. Giftcards? Whispering on the phone? For 2 two-tone dogs they couldnt even give a way for free not so long ago omg. He is playing you. If you feel you realy need a Rolex then just go grey and get your sub.

Sadly the salesman played him like a fiddle.

A good AD helps by getting the watch YOU want.

The SD is actually a nice watch and I'd wear it. The DJ I would of passed on, thanked them for the offer and told them to contact me when the watch I want comes in.

Congratulations.

If you've instantly ended up with two watches you want you're very lucky. I'd be buying lottery tickets.

If you have just bought two watches you didn't particularly want, just because they were offered, I'm going with crazy.

But hey! Your money, your life, your choice. Be happy.

As to where to go next. Well, in one day you've managed to go further than most, so I think you should be telling us.

Yes and YES !

Keep your sanity and balance, learn to appreciate what you have.
Otherwise, you look at the Daytona then when it's done, the gold version then when it's done, the platinum version then why not a DD40, why not a PP etc... Without taking the time to appreciate a piece.

You would probably be happier with a unique piece that you would wear every day without question... I include myself in the reflection

I would hang onto them for now. Express interest with the same SA for the watch you really want, and pop in once per month wearing these pieces. Meet the store manager / owner if possible. You will get the next one no problem and you can let these go later if you don’t feel a need for them.

This. Hold them until you get what you really want, then make a call.

If you flip them this quick, the dealer isn’t going to sell you steel models.

An interesting incoming thread....the OP gives a salesman $100 to get two watches he didn't want and then asks the forum for help to flip them towards watches he wants.

Kind of takes the joy out of an incoming thread.

Congratulations. I would look at the Trusted Sellers web sites and decide what I would want that I would keep and wear. I would make some calls and see what the value of the watches I own are and what I could get the watch[s] that I want would take. I would then trade these two for a watch I want and will wear. The watches have a value and you just need to leverage it for what you want. No issues and don't let the negativity impact you. Go get what you want and will enjoy. There are many ways to do it.

If you like both watches and plan to wear them you were lucky to get them. It doesn’t sound like that is the case though, in which case you spend a ton of money on something you don’t want, which doesn’t seem like a great idea.

I don’t have a ton of watches but, whenever I’ve gotten one, I’ve spent months researching and looking around to figure out exactly what I want before purchasing anything. It sounds like you just bought whatever was offered to you.

These two timepieces are good and not that easy to come by nowadays. If I were you I will keep them and enjoy wearing them and tell your SA that you would love to add some GMT whenever possible.

There are so many negative thinking people around this forum, just ignore their comments.
