Looking for someone with some knowledge on Rolex's

Can anyone tell me what the dot is next to the 40 on the bezel? I've been googling and cannot find any answers.

Yes it is a real rolex, it was just serviced not long ago.

What are y'all thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I’m not sure what it is, but it should not be there.

Does it feel like a chip, or something stuck on the bezel ?

Take a close up of the dot rather than the whole watch on your wrist at higher resolution. It is a very small dot and a very small picture.

There are no dots on a Sub bezel...never have been, never are! It must be a mark or chip that looks exactly like a dot. It wouldn't bother me, personally I'd just ignore it, but if it annoys you you could maybe take it back to where it was serviced and see what they say.

Was the dot there before it was serviced? If not, was the dot there when you got it back after servicing? If not, how soon after servicing did the dot appear?

Looks like you’ve marked the bezel extremely cheap to replace if you want to.

My guess is that it is just a foreign object on the bezel. Looks too perfectly round to be damage to me.

Welcome! The dot is just a dot.

But when they serviced it did they recommend anything about the yellow metal parts fading?

Was it serviced by Rolex? A couple of other things do look off to me... to my knowledge the TT Sub never came with a stainless crown. It also appears that there are holes of some kind on the sides of the bracelet, like for screws, but no Rolex (except old rivet models, that predate the TT Sub) has anything like that aside from removable links near the clasp.

While it could be a stain or chip, it also seems possible that someone at some point installed an aftermarket bezel insert if the original one got damaged.

It doesn't bother me at all, I was just wondering. I have never seen it before. And it is not a chip or any damage. It's almost like it was made to be there.

I would apply the fingernail test. If it comes off, that’s the fix!
