15510 way better with the longer batons, makes the dial look less like a dinner plate. Along with the chamfering and bracelet updates, 15510 is an upgrade

Maybe, but IMO not worth upgrading (for the same color dial) from a 15500 -which in any case would be difficult to accomplish through a boutique

Non 16202 ROs will get the Audemars Piguet letting only. Offshores will get the AP logo without the Audemars Piguet lettering. Probably just to differentiate the line ups I supposed |

I also feel everything is superior on the 15510 except for the missing AP logo... The removal of separate minute track is the biggest plus imo.

By chamfering updates, are you referring to the shape of the edge of the case near the lugs?

The applied lettering on the 15510 is also a big plus compared to the stamped one on the 15500. Gives a more premium feeling to the watch with the more aggressive bevels on the case flanks. As for the AP logo, I guess they removed it because it has a more sporty connotation, which would explain why they put it on the ROO.

To me this 'old thing' is pure perfection. All the changes on the 15510 are nice, but they are just a 'change' to me. It doesn't make it any better. The missing AP logo is a big deal to me so all in all I feel extremely happy having received my 15500 just last month.

So the AP website lists both 15500 and 15510. The 15510 is designated as a 50th anniversary edition. Will this be only available in 2022? I’m assuming at some point the 15500 will no longer be available. How will this impact the 15500 market value?

Exactly the same here AP have updated the 15510 nicely from the 15500 but none of the changes are earth shattering of course. I'd like a Green dial 15510 in Steel but only if I don't get the ROC 26240OR.OO.D404CR.01 that I have my eye on for later this year.... |

I maybe in the minority here, but I prefer the smaller batons and AP logo on the 15500.

Hah, felt the same way about the dinner plate dial. The proportions on the 15202 to me is perfection.

I think these look really good. Personally I've never been drawn to these three handers or the steel jumbos, but Daniel (CEO London) has a grey 15500 which is the first time that I really paid much attention to that model. The new one to me, as a non enthusiast, is more appealing to my eye for the reasons stated before with regards to empty dial space. That said, I'm still not buying one unless they bring out a baby blue dial, but that's not happening.
