Acquire a two-tone steel-gold, Yacht Master, need your opinion

In short, a message to collect your testimonials and opinions. I feel like adding visible gold.

Too bad to go through his life, and his passion for high-end watches, without this material which remains and will remain precious.

I'm not too much for yellow, too garish if I dare say.

I settled for the Yacht Masters. I find the case fantastic, and well suited to this type of association.
Always versatile, like any Rolex, so no fuss despite the material.
I hesitate between the black and chocolate dial, and reserve myself some tests.
Exact reference 126621.

Especially I wonder about the "bling" side. Isn't that too much? Not to wear in any circumstance?
I like beautiful things, but I am someone with a discreet personality. I wonder if I can handle it.

For the moment, I tell myself that it can't be worse than my Joker, my Freak X, which are original and attract attention and stares. That my LV also farts with this green and sunray dial. But still, I doubt...gold is another level in the sun, and in perception, much more showoff even if you don't want to.

Finally the delay seems more relaxed. Haven't contacted my AD yet, where I'm a good customer and with good contact, my collection comes from there for the most part, so I think it won't be too much of a problem...or am I wrong?
It seems to me in any case that we see little in the landscape, and this is an aspect that also appeals to me.

I won't wear it much, but it is said that gold scratches very easily? confirmation? I'm not complicated, and I rotate my acquisitions, but you might as well be warned if it's very delicate.

What can you tell me?
I'm going for it ?

Gladly all your indications. Thanks in advance to the community. And long live the watchmaking passion!

I think that is a beautiful reference. I do not think there is too much bling, it's got a nice amount of luxury feel to it but like all Rolex models, purpose-built and will be able to handle anything that you want to do.

Of course gold will scratch, it is softer than Steel, but Steel scratches as well. Having scratches on your watch is a fact of life, regardless of choosing steel or gold or some other materials.

I do not think your choice is "delicate", like I said before the Yachtmaster is a very robust watch, just like any model in the Professional line.

This was my first TT. Initially felt like it was too much bling (I've only ever owned full SS), however after a few days you get use to it. Now I rarely ever wear my SS watches, the 126621 is lovely, and in my opinion just feels that much more special. Can't express how much enjoyment I get from this reference. And not delicate, certainly careful with it, but can do it all.

Got mine from the boutique after a 16 day wait. I'd say go for it. It's beautiful and different and I've never seen another one in the wild.

Beautiful reference, uncommon, dares to be different. Not understated like an Explorer, but not obnoxious like a TT blue Sub (which I love wearing at the weekend for a bit of fun).

I have the 126621 with Chocolate Dial. its a very lovely watch. In my opinion the YM is the best case shape and design. the two tone is very subtle on this reference and the chocolate dial can look different in so many lighting situations. However I am actually selling mine because I really wanted the 126655 and settled for the two-tone. I finally have the chance to upgrade and I am excited.

I have a Sub, a Slate YM and a two tone rose gold rootbeer gmt. You're looking at two epic choices. You can't go wrong. I'd go brown dial personally.

I'd add I've had the YM 9 months and it's not scratched at all and neither is my girlfriends matching 37mm. Both mint and no marks on the bezel.

This my friend is a stunning watch. Beats my Slate hands down. Also beats my rootbeer too.

You already have a broad collection from SS vintage to a WG nautilus.

This RG/SS TT YM is a departure, but maybe the best thing is it’s name, the Root Beer Yacht-Master.

I come back to you to thank you for your testimonies and opinions.

So I went to my retailer to try different versions.

Determined to acquire a Yacht Master,
I must tell you that in the end, I found that the happy medium was not to my liking. And in the chocolate version, even a feminine aspect, it was my wife who pointed it out to me (I could wear it my darling!, it's not for you ).

So here I am with this opinion: either steel, or you assume in full precious metal, because the two-tone makes the guy a little undecided.

Following a counter-visit, the director gave me the pleasure of presenting me with a version "that I needed". And I fell in love immediately!

Needless to say, it's cool to know that it's gold, and that it's not too flashy like yellow or pink. I already know this effect with my Aquanaut, connoisseurs know what, and for the others it's almost incognito.
I was impressed with the Oysterflex bracelet, even compared to the Patek, needless to say, Rolex know how to do things, the best industrial for a reason, not admitting it is denial. Finally, it has this very sporty format and appearance, which suits me better. I am very happy with this new acquisition.

Here is my feedback and final choice, the YM 226659

My TT Bluesy is imo beautiful but not too blingy. The only people to ever say anything about it are my watch and sometimes my car friends...and they are all positive comments...

I know what people are talking about with white gold flying under the radar but stainless contrasting with yellow gold on a Rolex seems to exude their manufacturing and materials quality. White gold does that as well. Congrats!

Congrats! You found the one. Seeing these in person is always the best so you can see which one "speaks to you". Great and beautiful choice!

Both dials are really nice in person.

But why settle?

The YM is a great watch. So is rose gold two tone. I'd get the brown dial.

The 126621 with black or brown dial is a stunner. Very very hard to catch the beauty in photographs. This is a watch that has to bee seen in person. I went for the black dial as it has imo more depth. I got one instead of a rootbeer chnr and really glad i made that decision. The YM is a very refined timepiece and also a nice piece of kit to adorn your wrist..
