I got mine after a exp 1 and tt sub. It was still the smooth bezel when I got mine.

For Aus I don’t think the demand was that high but the issue is they only get a couple a year.

Have you considered getting a smooth bezel one (presumably from gray)? (I’m pondering one.)

Those were in some ways best of both worlds - a distinctive platinum-only look to other WIS, and still much less Rolex-flash than the fluted bezel.

Platinum DD’s are surely going to become more available with watch prices softening and a recession in play/coming soon. Don’t go grey and pay over the odds.

Not sure how hard the new model will be to get. The smooth bezel was iconic to the Platinum DD. Now it looks similar to the WG model save for the dial. Reaction has been cool to the new bezel on the internet but that may not be accurate predictor as supply is probably going to be so darn low to ADs for either the 40 or 36. The 36 may be the hardest to get as it was out of production for a few years.
