Is this just a new addition or is 42mm Pelagos now being discontinued ? They still have both versions on their website…

Would this bracelet fit on a BB58?

Home Run

It works for those who love 5-digit subs - like the 14060M - but in a modern iteration that is unique from the heritage/vintage looks of the BB58. This one is a modern aesthetic that still has classic DNA.

Very nice

The 39mm size is a sweet spot, getting the thickness in line makes this a real contender for top diver offering across brands.

Thinking the same especially when I already have the BB58 in black

Surprised more people aren't mentioning this. Haven't seen it in person but I think this could make or break it.

Stopped by the boutique. They didn’t have an exhibition model yet and told me to try back again on Friday. They had no details beforehand and found out about the release the time time as us online.

How does titanium wear compared to SS? Do you really feel the weight difference? How does the case/bracelet hold up to scratching?

It's hard for me to resist a black dial with red text. I think it's very pleasing, visually. I'd love to see one in blue, and it's too bad it doesn't have a date.

The TI feels very comfortable on the wrist, not much sliding around. The ss clasp has shown some normal wear but none on the TI bracelet & case. If you do mark the bracelet an ink pen eraser will remove any blemish in short order.

It’s basically the same size as a 39mm explorer 214270. With a bezel, it’s going to wear pretty small for a dive watch. Too small for me but I like it.

It's very obvious that Tudor is listening!
Thickness @ 11.8mm, this is a homerun for the company.

dial is more legible than comparable larger Rolex due to a modern take on hand proportions. my bb58 feels similar size wise to my 14060.

Well I would also like an SS version - but the Ti isn't really "bad news." It's the same as before and thus not a downgrade.

What's really interesting is the SD43Ti. I personally think that might be a mistake - but maybe Rolex will find a way to make Ti look & feel like SS. Grand Seiko certainly looks rather shiny.

Like, but don't love compared to my Pelagos. I think it might be the dial that I just don't jive with.

Solid release, though. Especially the clasp.

It depends on what you like. I can tell 100% when I am wearing titanium vs steel. Some like light watches and some do not.

Titanium has a different patina / light reflection and I find that the scratches are not nearly as noticeable as on a shiny polished steel surfaced. Just my opinion based on owning titanium watches.

Itīs sure to sell like hot cakes, but I donīt want to get too excited about it because I wonīt be able to get one anyway until the hype dies down, and I would not pay over MSRP for it. I for one donīt understand those bemoaning the lack of a date window...thatīs precisely what makes the dial so good, imo!

It depends on the grade of titanium Tudor is using on this one. I've had grade 2 titanium watches and whatever the grade of titanium Grand Seiko uses (some type of alloy but not sure if it's grade 5 or not).

There is a definitely difference between the two. The grade 2 watch was easy to scratch and could ding easily. It was also quite dull and grey looking. The Grand Seiko grade alloy didn't scratch as much, and had a polished finish like steel. I recall reading on the Seiko website that their titanium alloy was harder than stainless steel by 4x and also harder than grade 2 (they didn't say by how much).

I would like to think Tudor is using a higher grade than 2 for their titanium on this watch as it's a higher end watch.

Material is listed as grade 2 titanium.
