Any advice for Cabo AD?

Going to Cabo next week and going to stop by the AD.

Wondering if any of you have been there or have any advice for hopefully some good luck!

Thanks

I doubt any other tourist has ever thought of going there to buy a watch so they will likely have most of the popular models in stock.

I have purchase history there and it will be hard for you to get allocation at the present time on any of the in demand pieces. They are a multi brand store so if you are willing to buy other brands or jewelry you may get lucky and get something, but don’t expect it to be a super hot model. Just my opinion. Good luck.

When I was there a few months ago they straight up told me that I would need to work my way up to Rolex. They said I needed to buy something else at a high enough value to get on the list.

They will only sell you a Rolex if you buy another brand watch as well.

Nice. Booking my trip to Cabo right now with funds ready for another Casio watch to qualify me for that next Rolex I've always wanted.

Similar message when I was there in July. We stopped by after getting done with a morning sailing trip (AD has good AC )

Basically got told you need to be local or spend a lot on other stuff before we can sell you a Rolex

Same for me. Got off the boat and walked in last month for the AC. Young sales guy was super nice, let me try on a Daytona and offered me a date just. Said I would have to work up to anything more

Better for your life expectancy if you walk out of there empty handed

Buy lots of jewelry every time you return and you'll have a shot.

I visited Ultrajewels in Cabo San Lucas last months while on vacation. Nothing to sell, but was told that if I start building a relationship by buying other watches/jewelry, well.. That GMT may actually become a possibility

Cabo, Singapore - any port of call - it’s gonna be the same. Locals only, or buy a bunch o’ stuff you probably don’t want.

Went to Ultrajewels and they had nothing in stock but they receive pieces regularly. They want you to buy another brand like Omega with the Rolex. They sent me several pieces that came in ranging from Daytonas to GMTs. I almost pulled the trigger on a gold Daytona/Omega combination but decided to wait on my AD instead. They will also insist you fly back to pick up the watches. They will not send them.

Shhhhhhhhhh it's a secret... Rolex hasn't caught on in Mexico yet...

I think it's the dials, since the numbers are in english

Hey OP, was there in late july of this year, asked for a sub and they had a blue dial dj that was offered to me. I had my sights set the sub and the salesperson asked for alot of personal info (social media accounts etc) and was being cagey about what they had. I ended up passing as he wanted my passport and drivers license info along with travel docs over text(he got my phone number when I stopped by and said he would text me about the sub). Two words - no bueno :) But suggest you stop by as they may have something you want in the case you can get right away. As another poster mentioned, the AC is strong and its a nice detour from the heat.
