I thought these were done and only 50 Anniversary’s were coming this year.

Well, actually... I guess it depends a lot on the store and how you connect with the SA, in my case I guess I had a good connection, he knew I was not in just for the hype but because I really love watches, as he saw me wearing JLC, IWC, Rolex and even Casio.

In my case I got it at the end of march, the 15510 was not yet presented (well, it actually never got presented no? It just appeared on the web and they started selling it, but no big blog/web has spoken about it).

I am a bit confused about what is going on and what will go on in the future with 15500 and 15510, as you can see both references in the website, with the updated price and all.

Same. To my knowledge it’s the only ref from the last generation (and supposedly discontinued) that’s still being allocated. But it is odd that the 15500 is also the sole watch from the last generation showing in the current collection.

This makes me think they are discontinuing it next year, and whatever has been produced they are trying to sell now to whoever doesn't want a 50th or is not worthy of a 50th.

To me it makes the most sense, next year they will just continue with 15510 without the 50th rotor, maybe delete de green dial and go back to the previous blue dial and that's it, byebye 15500.

It wouldn't make sense to make a whole new case, bracelet and dial for the 15510 only for a year, the 15500 has been going on for a bit over 3 years, not a lot of time, but...

I can now say I am 99.9% sure next year we have a 15510 with a regular gold rotor and that's it.

I went to the AP House because they had some "display" models to check, so I checked the 15510 and a few more...




I compared the bracelets, which on the new 15510 is way thiner...



And if you pay close attention to the left caseback you will see something quite interesting for a 15510 here:

Luda you mention the thinner bracelets - FYI the 15510 is 154g compared to the 168g of the 15500. I posted it here when I got mine:

Congrats! Not going to lie can’t stand the AP. Looks like nuts and bolts with old kitchen tile for a dial. But I know they are an investment and well finished.

That's great info, I knew the bracelets were thiner but not that much thiner, in person it's quite surprising when you have both next to each other.

You are saving me a 2nd trip with the scales.

Thanks! That's exactly it, nuts and bolts, and I love it.

I couldn't care less about the investment part, I would honestly love it for them to be cheaper and have a smaller resale value, it would make it easier for me to buy more!

Also the 7735 is still running while they have 7745 50th now (34mm)

7735/15500 will discontinue
What they are selling now are the last last pieces they have in stock.
