I just picked up a 07 Z serial as well. Basically everything he said

Of course.
Having owned many from the mid 80s thru the late 90s, they do pale in comparison.
All are great pieces in their own right, and era.

I think its a great deal. I have a 16710 with both bracelets and all three bezels. Its like having 6 different watches. You will love owning one. You will always be able to replace the Tudors if you really miss them.

My most versatile and worn watch. I'd get it in a heartbeat if I were you.

You can get 3 bezels and two bands..such a nice feel on the wrist too.

I am not a fan of 5 digits at all. In my eyes they are not classic nor vintage but just an old watch.
The 16710 is the least interesting GMT imho, the 16760 i.e. is much nicer but still just an old watch unless you can find the no date dial.

For me it would have to be either a 1675 or a 6 digit GMT and the feel of the 6 digit is so much more substantial that I ‘d pick up one of those.

16710 is a great watch. And every one of them can be different . A modern six digit are all exactly the same and always will be. No aging patina or different dials crystals. Nice but Very machine made and not at all unique from each other

Just in case you are not aware your bezel insert is fake/ aftermarket.

16710 uot trumps both the Tudor's. IMO it trumps most watches in general. Could definitely be me only watch if it needed to be. So versitile.

I owned a 16710, it is a wonderful piece but for me the Tudor GMT is an even better modern version with very similar DNA. So personally I wouldn’t do it, but I seem to be in the minority.

I know. I prefer the bolder color and less reflective vs the OEM version. I have both.

What indicates that it is aftermarket? Simply curious.

The straight line base of the 2s in 22 indicate it's aftermarket. On genuine inserts, the base of 2s are curved to conform to the curve of the crystal. Also, on many aftermarket inserts, the top of the 2s are "hooked". To me it's not a big deal, but if the watch is sent to an RSC for service it could be returned without being serviced because of a non-Rolex part. I have an aftermarket insert I use because it's cheap, and if it gets scratched or dinged I just get another. I replace the aftermarket insert with my OEM one when I send it to the RSC for service.

Genuine on top; aftermarket on bottom.
