Incoming - Miracles do happen

Wow. This is the second time I hear about someone being allocated a 16202 50TH anniversary as a first piece, without purchase history. Big big congratulations and please do share the story behind it

How on earth do you get a Jumbo, in 2022, as a first piece? Genuinely want to know. VIP??

Thank you everyone.

Like many folks here, I had been wanting the Jumbo since time immemorial. I seriously started discussing the possibility with my SA sometime back in ~2018. I got offered a few other pieces along the way which I politely turned down. There were a couple of other references that I did express interest in too but was clearly told by my SA that those weren't going to be a possibility and I never brought those up again. The Jumbo never fell in this category though. And all along, I felt I was always treated like a VIP.

When I expressed continued interest in the new Jumbo this year, I had no idea I'd actually be allocated one and I don't think my SA expected it either. When I got the call I was stunned and TBH, when delivering the watch my SA seemed more excited and happy than me. The delivery was easily the best I have ever experienced (take note PP).

Congrats there must be an estate sale on APs! Not going to lie can’t stand the AP. Looks like nuts and bolts with old kitchen tile for a dial. But I know they are an investment and well finished.

Wow.. amazing congrats to OP.

I wonder how do they decide if the person is worthy of a jumbo as his first watch, nevertheless i am pretty sure i've not heard someone got a nautilus as the first watch, before barring any connections through friends and relatives

Congratulations, that's a hell of a first AP! And probably not your last one, your SA did you well.

Congrats OP, and here I thought getting a 15510st Black Dial as a first was crazy. Absolute homerun!

You made this post 5 times in a row yesterday across 5 different threads... why hang out in the AP subfourm in you don't like AP...?

This is the kind of stuff that AP is able to pull off and others can’t.

Congrats on a great piece!
