Hi
Hi everyone,
I'm new and have been interested in watches for the past 2 years or so. I have a Breitling Colt GMT I bought 6 months ago but am thinking of buying a Rolex Explorer 1. The Colt GMT is 40mm in diametre and it's a bit too big for my liking. I find that I am always bashing it into stuff when ive been drinking. Thankfull it still looks new. Anyone know a place in Toronto where I can trade it in, throw in some cash, and upgrade to an Explorer 1? What are your thoughts on the explorer 1? Ill post this in another section too. |

Welcome to TRF, E. Enjoy your time here with us and post often. We would love to see a photo of your Breitling, BTW.

Welcome to TRF, John. Glad you found your way over to our merry madhouse.
Not being a Canuck, I can't help out with your question. When Atomic, or Avalon, or Launch Mini stick their heads up out of the sand, one of them may be able to help. Good luck on your quest. The EXP is a great watch.

I thought we weren't going to gloat about that, Frans.
It could be worse. What if we were Kiwis?

On a trade-in, you will lose a lot of money on the Breitling. They (like TAGs) have a very poor resale value. Try and sell it privately and you will get more than on a trade-in. As for the Explorer, well...if the absence of a date is not important and the size of 36 mm is suitable, you won't find a better watch in the Rolex line-up!! Good luck whichever way you decide to go. Cheers - JJ
