On a watch like that daytona I guess that will be £5000 immediate payment owed.

A dangerous situation to be ignorant of.

You’d be best placed to ditch the box and papers and not get caught with them on your person during re entry to the uk.. your risk otherwise
Best practise is to ship via UPS or FedEx from abroad the box and papers to your UK address and re entry the UK with the watch on your wrist.

Not sure why you sound apologetic about it not being SS. To me PM is better. Just because the whole world is looking for an entry-level luxury watch, it doesn’t make it superior. Nice find!

Thanks.
Not apologetic about it being SS , more that the title of the post makes it appear I randomly got an SS at Heathrow!

Next to my 116508, that is my favorite PM Daytona combination you picked up. Enjoy!

Well . . . I wouldn't "ditch" the full set accessories, by any means!!

Simply take them along to wherever you are going, . . . and then mail them back to yourself.

You wear your new friend, like you've had it for years.
A few weeks later, you receive a nice little package in the mail.

Now, I'm certainly not advocating avoiding any laws or taxes. - - that would be unconscionable!

Gorgeous watch, OP, and congrats!

I'll be passing through Heathrow on June 2 and 10th and am also in the market for a PM watch. I am trying to get an idea of how much better the pricing is there - is it just a flat 20 percent off of regular US prices? Did they negotiate with you at all?

You mentioned calling in advance. So you were able to contact that particular boutique to inquire about the availability and express interest before traveling? Any tips you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Best practise is to pay the tax you legitimately owe. To suggest otherwise brings the credibility of this forum in to question.

What people do/don't do in the real world regarding payment/non payment of taxes is their own business; I think advocating committing a financial crime is irresponsible advice to post on a respected public forum.

My favourite Daytona dial. I have an WG silver racing dial but the blue looks amazing!

Really think these WG Rolex are great value. May have to withdraw my FS ad now...

This is correct, however, the best route to take is to send yourself box, booklets etc by post from wherever your a traveling to. Wear the watch on entry with the warranty card hidden behind a credit card in your wallet. You’d be good to go.
