I’ve had my eye on a ‘lower key’ model for a while and had set my sights on the Grape Red OP 36mm.

Went to my AD this afternoon, and luckily enough there was one in the window.

Tried it and remarked that it felt small for a 36. Rep said ‘that’s because it’s a 34’. He had introduced it too me as such but I obviously just been too keen to try it.

Unfortunately decided it wasn’t quite right for me but did end up trying a similar model in the 36 just for size, which was perfect. We filled in a request form for the 36 and had a bit of a discussion about the brand in general.

I tried on a couple of other pieces just for fun, and mostly out of my price range, including the platinum day date.

Eventually he brought out the blue OP in 39mm. I think it was in the window but I’d obviously not spotted it on the way in.

It didn’t take long for me to decide I needed to buy it.

And now back with the collection.

It’s, unbelievably, nearly 2 years since my last incoming, and in fact more than a year since I’ve been inside my AD so it was nice to get back into the habit!

Congrats. I have the blue OP as well, and I think it's a hidden gem. The all brushed bracelet is fantastic, and it feels amazing on the wrist! I wore it to a wedding back in June, and it dressed up phenomenally with a gray suit! I originally went in to purchase the blue YM...and walked out with the OP 39. The blue dial just mesmerizes, and I thought it popped more when compared side by side with the more expensive YM.

Wear it in good health!

And since threads need pics ...

Big congrats! You cannot go wrong with a blue or green dial on any Rolex reference in my humble opinion! Simplicity at it's finest. Enjoy :-)

good little twist at the end. Nice collection.

Why the OP 39 instead of DJ II?
Esp since you have higher end SS sport models.

I think just the complete lack of complexity that the OP has, but certainly wouldn’t rule out a DJ in the future.
