Wife took one for the team

Like many who start on TRF , I had been lurking for a while before joining and posting. After following advice posted time and time again about visiting my AD and building a relationship. I started visiting my AD back in the spring. I had spent a little money here and there but nothing to live the needle much. I knew I was going to have to spend a more so I took my wife Saturday hoping she would buy something to get us building real “credit” with the AD. I had been trying to get her to buy a watch forever but thought she would buy a ring or some other jewelry. She said if it would help me, she would take one for the team and force herself to get watch - this what she picked out

Next thing I know - I’m also purchasing this the same day

I will say I - the AD told me that he knew I would not sell it and that I was purchasing for myself. I honestly did expect to come away with 2 great watches. My wife loves hers and hadn’t stopped wearing it or looking at it. for me - this watch is more beautiful in person and I couldn’t be happier.

TRF is amazing.

Amazing time we are living in when folks have to build credit with an AD just to purchase a SS professional model. Not aimed at the OP, just still trying to wrap my head around this new reality of Rolex purchasing.

I agree , using the professional line as leverage to
sell the other references and jewelry in combination
increasing revenue.

Congrats to you both on a fine duo .
Wear them and enjoy them in good health...

So did the AD know what you wanted, then after the purchase, bring that out of the safe, or after selecting the date just, offer it to you? I'm just trying to wrap my head around how this played out. Nice work either way!
