Coke, Pepsi, platoona, root beer are all acceptable nicknames. IMO the Batman name detracted from a beautiful watch. Batgirl is taking a shot or the nickname as much as the watch.
Maybe we call the jubilee Pepsi "Diet Pepsi"

I like Batman and Batgirl just fine and everyone immediately knows which one is being referenced.

Its just a nickname guys! Batgirl doesn't mean its a girl's watch. Its to identify the old and the new.

BTW: I like to thank Rolex for creating this issue !! However, it is fun to see adults arguing
about nicknames.

I think the manliest thing you can do is have the confidence to wear what you like, even if it is not part of the current trend.

(That is also the girliest thing you can do. It is a matter of individuality!)

Hahaha

I don’t see the need for any nicknames. But if we must I really don’t think the BLNR on Jubilee is different enough from the original BLNR to justify a separate nickname

When entering a porn site you often have to confirm your 18+ ( been told so I would never visit these sites ....... :-) :-) )

Anyway, maybe we need this here too cause with all these childish nicknames I have the feeling quite a few here are between 14 and 16

Ha.

I would like to meet the owner of this reference in question whom upon getting a compliment from a watch admirer responds back.
“Oh thanks its the new Rolex Batgirl”.
Admirer then says huh?
Owner then replies “It’s so as not to be confused with the Batman”.
Admirer walks away shaking head and thinking he looks big for his age.

It’s just weird for a man’s watch to have a female nickname. I’m pretty sure it would be just as strange to call the LadyDatejust Thor or Superman or the BLRO Wonder Woman. What happened to the days here where we discussed the 3186 vs 3285 rather than the gender of men’s and women’s watches lol

It's just a silly nickname of a silly watch in a silly hobby. I'm sure Bruce Wayne won't stick

For heaven's sake, can we have enough of this batgirl thing? BLNR more than suffices.

The Bruce Wayne is my new favorite watch, shines at every angle and super comfortable.

So please pass this on and start using the nickname Bruce Wayne instead of batgirl.

how about the Bat-Them

I think it rhymes with Gotham ???

joking aside (no pun intended) ... being an old fan of the original TV batman ... I can get onboard with the "Bruce Wayne"

I like the proposal: the Bruce Wayne is a great evolution from the Batman / oyster, I’m in.

Best quote of the thread.

Batgirl has stuck like it or lump it. Its only a bit of fun and distinguishes the models. People need to chill a little, both those who don't like the nickname and those who don't like nicknames at all.

I’m honestly surprised “Batgirl” has gotten so much traction...it’s a terrible name

BLNR or 126710BLNR sounds good to me
